Warning: Graduation is closer than it may appear!
Senior planning
It
is time to make post high school plans! There will be a college planning night
held on September 25th at 6:00 p.m. Please be sure your child makes contact with
admission counselors from the schools in which he or she is interested. Mrs.
Shelton will be visiting Senior English classes on September 12th
through September 14th to discuss scholarships, financial aid, and post high
school planning. Counselor announcements about scholarships, financial aid,
college representative visits, military recruitment visits, and other
opportunities will be posted on the website and in classrooms. Please be sure to
check them!
ACT and SAT
Students who are interested in vocational and/or college need to take the ACT, if they haven’t already, as quickly as possible this year. If a student plans to go to an out of state institution, he or she may need to take the SAT depending on the school’s admission requirements. Be sure, if you want your senior student to take these exams, that he or she registers for them.
Caps and Gowns
Seniors will be ordering caps, gowns, and announcements on October 24th. Typically, a deposit of $75 is required.
