Mrs. Becky Lowrey
Becky Lowrey is beginning her 20th year as an educator and her 17th year in the Alma School District. She graduated high school from Fort Smith Christian and attended both Westark Community College and Lyon College on a basketball scholarship. Becky played for Hall of Fame Coach Louis Whorton on his '95 Westark 35-0 National Championship team. She earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Westark Comunity College, a Bachelor of Arts in History from Lyon College, a Master of Science in School Counseling from John Brown University, and an Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership from Harding University. She previously taught History and coached Basketball and Track. She has licensure in PE/Wellness, Social Studies, Guidance/Counseling, and Administration. Becky was the 2011 ArSCA Middle/Jr. High-Level Northwest Region Counselor of the Year. She is a member of the ArSCA Technology Team. Becky is starting her 15th year as a Counselor at Alma Middle School. She has been married to her husband Mike for 17 years and has a 14-year-old daughter, Riley.
