Fire Safety Month
Fire safety information saves lives. It’s as simple as that. Alma DECA has been sponsoring Fire Safety Day at Alma Intermediate School since 2007 to help teach 3rd grade students about fire safety. The most important act to execute in the event of a fire is to exit the building in a safe and orderly manner. In order to accomplish this, everyone should be aware of all the fire exits. To teach this to the AIS third grade students, Alma DECA partnered with the Alma Volunteer Fire Department who provide a smokehouse that allows the students to crawl through a simulated house fire.
