Ms. Lisa Manes

Lisa grew up in Alma and graduated from Alma High School in 1997. She received a Bachelors of Science in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Central Arkansas in 2001 and a Masters of Science in Speech-Langauge Pathology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2004. Lisa has 18 years of experience as a speech - language pathologist. She is licensed as a teacher and a speech-language pathologist in the state of Arkansas.  She also maintains a Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech and Hearing Association. SLPs work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech/articulation, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. After working in a clinical setting and Iditerod Elementary school in Wasilla, Alaska for several years, Lisa moved back to Arkansas. Lisa joined the Alma School District in 2010. Ms. Manes is excited to be working at Alma Middle School. In addition to speech therapy, Lisa has been trained in the Connections: OG in 3D program for Dyslexia and is eager to work with students to improve reading.
