Mrs. Carol Cannedy

Mrs. Cannedy graduated from Southside High School in Fort Smith, AR in 2007 and from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, AR in 2010 with a Bachelors of Music Education. Her principal instrument is clarinet, and in 2012 she graduated with a Masters of Music Performance from her undergraduate institution. Mrs. Cannedy began her career as Assistant Band Director in Sallisaw Public Schools in OKlahoma. Since then she has been Assistant Band Director at West Monroe High School in West Monroe, Louisiana and at her alma mater, Fort Smith Southside High School. Her responsibilities have included middle school band, beginning woodwind, high school concert and marching band, and directing all aspects of the color guard program. Based primarily at Alma Middle School, Mrs. Cannedy directs the 7th grade band, teaches beginning clarinet and flute, assists with marching and concert band at the high school, and directs the color guard program. She has been a baton twirler since childhood and was a feature twirler at the University of Central Arkansas from 2007-2009. Mrs. Cannedy lives in Fort Smith with her husband Josh, their dog Layla, and cat Thomas.
