Chapen Rucker
Chapen Rucker was elected in 2013 to the Alma Board of Education. He is a 2002 graduate of Alma High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. A lifelong resident of Alma, Chapen is married to Lyndsay (Carter) of Van Buren and they have two daughters, Addison and Norah. In 2017 Addison became a 4 th generation Airedale when she began kindergarten.
Chapen received Master Board Member certification in 2016 by the Arkansas School Board Association and is a 2008 graduate of Leadership Crawford County. He is a homebuilder for the family business, Rucker Fine Homes, in Alma.

Carrie Jernigan
Carrie Roberts Jernigan was born, raised and graduated high school in Alma. She is a 2000 graduate of Alma High School where she graduated with High Honors. She was a three (3) year starter on the Volleyball and Basketball team where she received All-Conference Honors.
After graduating from Alma, she attended the University of Arkansas where she received her bachelor's degree in computer science. Carrie then received her juris doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas Law School in Fayetteville in 2006. She came home upon graduation and in 2010 became managing partner at Settle & Jernigan Law Firm. Carrie has been named Best of the Best attorney in the River Valley. She also was named a Top 40 Lawyer Under 40 in the nation for 2017. Carrie also served 3 terms as a member of the Crawford County Quorum Court.
Carrie is married to Shawn Jernigan, an Alma graduate, and they have two daughters, Harper and Campbell and a son, Amos.

John Ware
John Ware was elected to the Alma Board of Education in 2019. After graduating from Alma High School with honors in 1999, he earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and an MBA with an emphasis in Leadership and Ethics from John Brown University.
John is employed by Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Corporation as Director of Customer Development, and currently serves as Chair of the Arkansas Gas Association. He is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Fort Smith and has served three terms on the Alma City Council. John is married to Whitney (Rucker), also an Alma graduate, and they have two daughters, Sullivan and Reagan, who are fourth generation Alma Airedales.
