How Do I Become a Substitute?

We are always looking for new passionate substitutes at the Alma School District, and we're glad you are interested!  

To apply, you must have a high school diploma. You will also be required to pass a background check.

We are actively seeking certified substitutes. These are substitutes that hold an active teaching license in the state of Arkansas. Substitutes are not required to have a teaching certificate, but those with an active license will receive a higher rate of pay.

Rate of Pay for Alma School District Substitutes

Licensed Teacher: $100.00

Non-Licensed Teacher: $85.00

Bus Driver Per Day: (Regular) $78.36, (Long) $87.64, (X Long) $88.66, (Aide) $44.88

Bus Driver Per Trip: (Regular) $39.18, (Long) $43.82, (X Long) $44.33, (Aide) $22.44

Custodian: (Full Day) $82.50, (4 Hours) $44.00

Food Service: $71.50

Nurse: (LPN) $135.00, (RN) $150.00

Office: $85.00
