Mr. David Williams

David Williams is beginning his fourteenth year as an educator in the Alma School District.  He graduated high school from Fort Smith Northside High School, growing up on a Dairy farm on the Northside of town.  He was a fourth generation farmer on Williams Lane which is currently off Clayton Expressway and is still a coowner of the original family farm.  He is a retired veteran of the Arkansas Army National Guard, a veteran of the Gulf War, and served his country with pride and distinction.   He graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith at the age of 54  In his varying civilian careers as well as military career, he was always teaching and training others, so he chose to return to college to obtain his educational certificate in order to teach students life and earth siences to students in Middle and High school.  His entire educational career has been in Alma.  David has served in several capacities in his church to include Chidren Church director and teacher, AWANA's leader, Sunday School teacher, Elder, and is now in charge of the Food Service ministry.  His pride and joy is his family; his wife Frances, 3 grown children, Jessica of the home, and one daughter, Crystal who is in her Junior year at the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith majoring in musical education.  He has five grandchildren.  Gardening and woodworking are his hobbies.
