Mrs. Jeana Parker

Jeana Parker is beginning her nineth year as an educator and starting her eighth year in the Alma School District.  She graduated from Alma High School in 2004.  Jeana has a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Arkansas Tech University and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of Central Arkansas.  In her eight years of education, she has taught a variety of subjects: Biology, Chemistry, AP Physics, Introduction to Engineering, Principles of Engineering, and Engineering Design and Development.  She is also the advisor for the Technology Student Association and the Robotics team sponsor.  She has taken the robotics team across the state for competitions and have had qualifying robots that competed in the CREATE US Open in Council Bluffs, Iowa against 200 of the best robots in the United States.  Mrs. Parker is also a member of the Alma Technology Committe.  Mrs. Parker also has three 3D printers in her classroom that are available for engineering students.  Mrs. Parker loves science fair and currently serves as the NWARSEF Social Media Co-chair. She was awarded the Northwest Arkansas Science and Engineering Teacher of the Year at this years regional science fair held at the University of Arkansas. She also received the Arkansas Soybean Science Challenge Teacher Mentor Award.  Mrs. Parker is also currently persuing her National Board Teacher Certification in Chemistry. Jeana has been married to her husband Chris for eight years and has two children.  Her son Noel is seven and in the second grade at Alma Primary School, and her daughter Paisley is 2 years old.

After School Robotics Team and Technology Student Association will meet on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 3:30-5:00 pm.
