Mr. Zach Thomas

Zach Thomas is entering his 14th year as an educator and starting his 10th year at Alma High School. Zach graduated from Alma High School in 2003. He has two Bachelor of Science degrees. One is in Biology and the other in Biology with Earth and Life Science Teacher Licensure. Both from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. He also has a Master of Science in Science Education from Montana State University. In his 13 years in education, Zach has taught PreAP Physical Science, Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, Anatomy and Physiology, and Concurrent Introduction to Biological Sciences at Kimmons Junior High School and Northside High School in Fort Smith, AR as well as Alma High School. Zach is an adjunct Biology professor for Arkansas Tech University teaching Introduction to College Biology and Anatomy and Physiology at the ATU Ozark campus. Zach is also the Senior Division Co-Chairperson for the Northwest Arkansas Science and Engineering Fair and Student Council sponsor. He also serves as Student Council advisor at AHS. Zach also assists the community as Captain of Lancaster Station in Crawford County District 1 Fire Department.
