Mr. Danny Hobson
Danny graduated from Springdale High School in 1993. He then attended Arkansas Tech University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education in 1997. After graduation, he began working for the Springdale School District. For 19 years, Danny taught Physical Education, Social Studies and Drama at Helen Tyson, J.O. Kelly, and Hellstern Middle Schools. During his time in Springdale, he also established the very first theatre program in the middle schools in the district. These theatre programs began as after-school activities and later grew into elective classes that students are still able to take today. In 2016, Danny became the Theatre and Forensics teacher at Lincoln Junior High School in Bentonville. During his time in Springdale and Bentonville, a number of his student performances were selected as Showcase plays and were performed at the yearly Arkansas Thespian Festival. Danny also directed shows at the Arts Center of the Ozarks in Springdale from 2003-2016, as well as, served on the Arkansas Fine Arts Frameworks Committee in 2014. He most recently became the Theatre teacher at Alma High School in 2017 and is looking forward to another great year with students both in class and on stage. Danny is married to his sweet wife, Aimee. They have three sons, Caleb, Ty and Blake. A grandson named, Dax, and more grandchildren on the way! He loves his family, working with students on stage, biking, live shows, movies, reading, and his two dogs Hank and Scruff.
