Adam Gooden serves as head director at Alma Middle School, where he conducts the 8th Grade Band and assists with the 7th Grade Band. In addition, he teaches the beginning classes on Cornet, French Horn, Bassoon and Oboe. In 2020 Mr. Gooden became certified to teach technology and added one period of that class to his daily schedule.

This is Mr. Gooden's twenty-fourth year at Alma Middle School. He previously taught for eight years in the Franklin Independent School District in Franklin, Texas. Originally from Springdale, Arkansas, Mr. Gooden earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in 1990. He is a member of the Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association, the Arkansas Bandmasters Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity, Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters' Fraternity and The River Valley Community Band.
