Patty Townsend is starting her 28th year in education and her 14th year at Alma Middle School. Patty grew up in southeastern Arkansas and graduated from Dermott High School. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, Social Studies. During her educational career, she has taught  Arkansas, American, and world history, geography, sociology, and psychology.  At Alma Middle School, Mrs. Townsend teaches geography and Arkansas history for 7th graders.
