Mrs. Jennifer Pitts
Jennifer Pitts has been teaching art for twenty-two years, fifteen of which have been at Alma Middle School. She previously taught elementary art in Coppell, TX. Jennifer grew up in Alma and graduated from Alma High School. She attended the University of Central Arkansas, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education, and graduating magna cum laude. She is certified to teach art, kindergarten through twelfth grade. Recently, Jennifer participated in the Arkansas Declaration of Learning program, where she worked with other educators in the state to develop lesson plans involving civic action and historical artifacts from Diplomatic Reception rooms in Washington, D.C., Crystal Bridges of American Art, Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, the Clinton Library and Clinton Foundation. She is National Board Certificated and currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Art Education at the Art of Education University. Mrs. Pitts has been married to her husband, Jason, for twenty-two years. She has a son, Luke, who is twenty years old, and a daughter, Lindsey, who is fifteen years old. She enjoys spending time with her family and creating her artwork.
