Battles, Gibson still perfect 
Alma tennis standouts Drew Battles and Nathan Gibson kept their unblemished 5A-West record intact with wins over Siloam Springs and Van Buren. 
The duo registered an 8-2 victory over Siloam and breezed to an 8-1 victory against the Pointers. 
Alma won the overall battle with Siloam Springs by a 7-2 count. Along with Battles and Gibson, Gavin Webb and Cash Farris won their doubles match, 8-2. 
Logan Evans and Blake Williams earned singles victories. 
Kallie Plourde and Jenesis Davis earned a girls' doubles victory. Plourde also won a singles match. Katelyn Valdez and Ashley Fowler earned an 8-2 doubles win over the Panthers. 
Ashlyn Chronister and Rebekah McIntosh won their doubles match against the Pointers. Chronister also earned a singles win. 
Lady Airedales Fall
Alma suffered a hard-fought 25-12, 19-25, 24-26, 25-20, 15-6 loss to Mansfield Monday in nonconference action at Charles B. Dyer Arena. 
After losing big in the opener, Alma responded in the second game thanks to six of Lillie Warnock's 17 kills. Sidney Hatley and Aubrey James finished with 11 and seven kills, respectively. 
Lydia Swarnes finished with 24 digs and Bella Nutt added 30 assists.
