Conner Stacy won the high jump Friday at the 5A-West conference track meet at Russellville High School. And he was just getting warmed up.
Stacy won the high jump with a leap of 6-feet, three inches. He was second (15.93) in the 110 high hurdles and second (41.48) in the 300 intermediate hurdles while helping lead Alma to a fifth place team finish with 70 points.
Alma seniors Keyton Mitchell and Jacob Coursey placed third and sixth, respectively, in the 100 meters. Mitchell and Coursey were seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 200.
Mitchell, Stacy, Coursey, and Logan Chronister helped lead Alma to a second place finish (44.71) in the 4X100 relay.
The Airedales' Chronister, Drake Stogsdill, Kaydin Minshull and Ian Rhodes finished sixth in the 4X200 relay.
York, Mitchell, Stacy and Kyle Jones were sixth in the 4X400 relay. Jones was second (52.82) in the 400 meters.
Joseph York was eighth in the 110 hurdles.
Also in the field events, the Airedales' Dane Martin was sixth in the discus and Parker Sieminskie seventh in the shot put.
The Lady Airedales' Rebekah McIntosh was fifth in the high jump and fifth in the triple jump. The Lady Airedales finished with nine team points in the meet.
