Greenbrier quarterback Cooper Wilcox threw five touchdown passes and the Panthers rolled up 664 yards of total offense en route to a 59-28 5A-West win over the Alma Airedales.

But the game was mostly about Wilcox and the explosive Panthers' offense. Bradley Turnage kicked a 21-yard field goal to put the Panthers ahead with 6:06 to play in the first half.

Wilcox completed 13-of-16 passes for 326 yards. He threw a 14-yard TD pass to Jacob Mathis to put the Panthers ahead 10-0 after one quarter.

Eli Weaver's 10-yard TD reception made it 17-0, and Wilcox extended the lead to 24-0 with an 83-yard scoring strike to Carter McElhaney.

Greenbrier held Alma without a first down on its first four series. But the Airedales drove 58 yards for a touchdown on their next series, with quarterback Joe Trusty tossing a 31-yard touchdown pass to Brilee White.

White caught five passes for 83 yards, including a second 31-yard TD strike in the second half.

Conner Stacy hauled in a 24-yard scoring strike and Trusty scored from a yard out to account for Alma's final points.

The Panthers scored four third-quarter touchdowns to put the game away. Nick Huett's 52-yard touchdown run and a 57-yard scoring strike to McElhaney extended the lead to 45-14.

Miles Miller's 50-yard TD reception made it 52-28, and Wilcox called his own number for the final tally, a 7-yard run with 8:20 left to play.

Trusty threw for 266 yards (21-of-30) and also rushed 18 times for 61 yards.

Stacy caught 12 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown to go over 1,000 yards receiving for the season.
