Alma bowlers fall to Greenwood

Alma dropped a tough decision to Greenwood Tuesday.
The Airedales knocked out 1,957 pins to Greenwood’s 2,166. Greenwood won the Baker Games, too, 180-144.
Dayton Hopp continued a strong push with a pair of 200s. He bowled a 211 and a 203 to finish with 414 pins.
Trentin Sanderson was second (311), followed by Zeke Nichols (296) and Jaden Parker (236).
Sheppard Osborne and Jasper Stockton bowled a 210 and 166, respectively.
Siloam Springs 53, Alma 36
GIRLS — Siloam Springs spotted Alma an early 10-0 lead Tuesday night.
But the Lady Panthers finished the first half on a 26-4 run and pulled away for a 53-36 victory in 5A-West play.
Brooke Ross led Siloam Springs (11-3, 2-0) with 18 points. Teammate Kaliahni Jacklik finished with 15 points on five 3-point field goals.
Alma (7-7, 0-2) pulled to within 38-30 at the end of the third quarter on Lydia Mann’s 3-pointer.
But the Lady Panthers opened the fourth quarter with three straight 3-pointers.
Presli Taylor led Alma 11 points. Mann and Jordan Gramlich scored nine and eight, respectively.
