Alma teams roll past Panthers

Coach Eddie Corder and the Alma Airedales’ junior high squad rolled to a 55-26 win over Clarksville Monday. 


Jeremiah Schlegel made 9-of-11 field goal attempts and finished with 25 points and nine rebounds to pace the Airedales to victory. 


D’Camry Jones, Kade Fagan, and Owen McCoy had six points each. Brayden Peppas added five points and four steals, and Logan Villarreal and Gabe Weaver finished with four and three points, respectively. 


Alma 38, Clarksville 8 


GIRLS - The Alma junior high Lady Airedales rolled to an easy 38-8 win over Clarksville Lady Panthers Monday. 


Anna Swarnes and Izabel Benson had nine points each to pace the winners (5-0). 


Olivia Hughes went for seven points, and Faith Sator and Emberly Kimes scored four and three points, respectively. Matilyn Dunn and McKinzy Berna had two points each. 


Alma 35, Clarksville 2 


GIRLS - Matilyn Dunn and Ruthi Dunaway scored 11 and nine points to power the Alma eighth-grade girls to a 35-2 win over Clarksville Monday. 


Jaeda Cahoon and Lauden Setter scored six points each for the winners. 


Izabella Plourde had three points


Alma 51, Clarksville 13 


BOYS - Landon Taylor made 5-of-6 3-pointers and finished with 15 points Monday and pace Alma’s eighth-grade squad to a 51-13 win over Clarksville. 


Luke Stogsdill and Hudson Loughridge finished with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Alma’s bench accounted for 19 points. 


Carson Curd and Lawson Adams finished with three points each. Sammy Moore, Drake Ciampoli, Boaz Benson, and Cade Moore finished with two points each.
