Alma School District is happy to announce the hiring of Chanlee Bottoms as its new head girls basketball coach at Alma High School.
Chanlee is no stranger to the Alma basketball program and brings with her an abundance of coaching experience. She has been in education for 12 years and currently serves as the assistant basketball coach while also teaching Health and Physical Education at AHS.
Chanlee shared her excitement about the new position and the impact she looks to have during an official press conference on Friday, May 12, 2023.
"We (Alma) won state in 2005, and that's the road I'm trying to take right now. I know it will be a long road, but I have goals to get us going in that direction," said Bottoms. "Every ounce of me thinks these ladies can get it going in that direction."
