Alma 39, Van Buren 38 

BOYS - Luke Stogsdill made 6-of-7 field goal attempts and finished with 15 points to lead Alma to a come-from-behind 39-38 win over Van Buren Saturday. 

Alma (15-2, 5-0) opened the game with a 9-0 lead and led 20-7 before falling behind, 27-24, late in the third quarter. 

Stogsdill then helped rally the Airedales. Alma finished 13-of-22 from the field but made just 9-of-23 free throw attempts. 

Landon Taylor and Hudson Loughridge finished with nine and seven points, respectively, to pace the winners. Chase Wood and Drake Ciampoli had three and two points, respectively. 

Carson Curd, Cade Moore, and Lawson Adams each had one point. 

Alma 32, Van Buren 8 

GIRLS - Alma’s seventh grade ‘Green’ team rolled past Van Buren, 32-8. Collins Driscoll had 11 points, and Brayli Wasson added seven. 

Cydney Hopper and Eslee Travis had four points each, and Rylee Keith, Khloe Brasher, and Braelyn Holmes finished with two points each.  

Alma 46, Van Buren 27

BOYS - David Atherton scored 10 of his 16 points in the final half to help lead Alma’s seventh grade to a 46-27 win over Van Buren Saturday. 

Titus Benson had 11 points for the winners, and Nate Risley finished with eight points. 

Van Buren 40, Alma 34 

BOYS - Alma’s eighth-grade boys basketball team suffered a 40-34 loss to Van Buren Saturday. 

Carson Hamilton led Alma with 19 points.
