Alma Middle School has been named a 2026 Arkansas Gem School by the Arkansas Department of Education, adding to the celebration following the school’s second consecutive “A” letter grade.
Arkansas Gem Schools are recognized for outstanding student achievement, academic growth and sustained improvement based on data used in the state’s annual school accountability system. Schools are compared with others serving the same grade levels across Arkansas.
AMS received recognition in three areas:
Growth of All Students: Top 6–10% statewide among middle schools
Growth in Mathematics: Top 10% statewide
Growth in Science: Top 10% statewide
These accomplishments reflect the continued dedication of Alma Middle School’s students, educators, staff, families and school leaders.
Congratulations to the entire AMS community on this outstanding recognition.
