NJROTC HEALTH/PE/GRADES 9-12: 1 CREDIT - 480950/485950 | The first year in the NJROTC program will provide students with their semester Health credit, as well as a semester PE credit. NJROTC is a program designed to teach self-discipline, self-confidence, and leadership skills. The curriculum is designed to develop leadership ability regardless of the student’s career path. Topics include: uniform and proper wear, basic marching and drill, military traditions, courtesies, and etiquette, shipboard organization and orientation, land navigation, and citizenship. |

RECREATIONAL SPORTS/GRADES 9-12: 0.5 CREDIT 48502B - BOYS/48502G - GIRLS/ 485023 - CO-ED | Recreational Sports is a semester PE class. Students will learn rules and score keeping as well as participate in basketball, softball, flag football, pass n go, and other team games and activities. |
OUTDOOR PURSUITS/GRADES 9-12: 0.5 CREDIT 48503B - BOYS/48503G - GIRLS/485030 - CO-ED | Recreational Sports is a semester PE class. Students will learn rules and score keeping as well as participate in basketball, softball, flag football, pass n go, and other team games and activities. |
ATHLETICS/GRADES 9-12: 1 CREDIT GRADE 9 - 485029/GRADE 10 - 485020/GRADE 11 - 485021/GRADE 12 - 485022 | Team Sports/Athletics is designed for boys participating in the school’s competitive football, basketball, track, soccer, or baseball and girls participating in competitive basketball, volleyball, track, or softball. Participation in the off-season is required. All students must have a current physical. Students must have been in Athletics during the previous school year or have a coach’s approval to join this course. |
ATHLETE SKILL DEVELOPMENT/GRADES 10-12: NO CREDIT FULL YEAR - 999820/FALL ONLY - 999821/SPRING ONLY - 999822 | This is a NON-CREDIT COURSE for athletes who wish to have another period in their school day to put toward developing their skills in their chosen sport. Strength training and conditioning as well as other activities will be conducted by the coaches. Sophomores and juniors cannot take this course if they have another non-credit course. |
PE CHEER TEAM/GRADES 9-12: 1 CREDIT GRADE 9 - 48501J/GRADES 10-12 - 48501C | Cheer Team is for students who were selected to the cheer team to perform for football and basketball games as well as a competition team for state events. Students must try out to participate in this class and the individual events. Tryouts are open to all female senior high students. This course does count as a PE credit. |
PE DANCE TEAMS/GRADES 9-12: 1 CREDIT GRADE 9 - 48501T/GRADES 10 -12 - 48501D | Dance Team is for students selected by tryout to perform for all football games, home basketball games, pep rallies, community events, and the Dance Show. They also represent the school in regional, state, and national dance competitions. Students must try out in order to participate in this class. Tryouts are open to all male and female students in grades 9-12. This course does count as a PE credit. |
