The Alma School District is proud to announce the selection of Manesseh Moore as the next Principal of Alma High School. Moore currently serves as Assistant Principal at Alma High School, a position she has held since 2023, and brings more than two decades of educational experience to her new leadership role.
A dedicated educator and longtime member of the Alma School District family, Moore has served students in a variety of capacities throughout her career, including as a teacher, school counselor, instructional leader, and administrator. Her career in education began at Alma High School in 2004 as a Social Studies teacher before transitioning into school counseling roles at Kimmons Junior High and later returning to Alma High School as a counselor.
Superintendent-elect Mr. Hesslen praised Moore’s leadership and commitment to Alma High School.
“Mrs. Moore has done an outstanding job serving Alma High School in a variety of leadership roles,” said Superintendent-elect Mr. Hesslen. “We are excited for her to lead AHS and continue the great work taking place at our high school.”
Moore said she is honored to continue serving the school and community that have played such an important role in her life and career.
“I am honored to get the opportunity to serve as Alma High School Principal. This is the place that raised me, and I love this school and this community deeply. I am so appreciative of the support from our district leaders, teachers, and students, and I look forward to leading this school in the continued excellence that AHS has become known for.”
Moore is known for her collaborative leadership style, organizational strengths, and dedication to creating a positive learning environment for all students. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in curriculum planning, professional development, master scheduling, and school improvement initiatives. She has also served on leadership teams and facilitated professional learning opportunities for educators.
