The Alma School District proudly honored several outstanding staff members at the November Board Meeting. Each recipient exemplifies dedication, excellence, and the spirit of what it means to be an Airedale.
Joni Brewer: Recognized for consistently going above and beyond to ensure every student feels seen, valued, and safe. Her kindness, reliability, and genuine care make each bus ride special. Joni truly reflects the heart of the Alma School District.

Katelyn Ferguson: Honored for her creativity, dedication, and commitment to brightening Alma High School. Her leadership, service, and students’ exceptional AP Art results demonstrate true Airedale excellence.

Jeremie Burns, Ryan Meyers, and Parker Gill: Celebrated for their outstanding coaching of the 7th Grade Football Team. Their guidance and commitment led to an undefeated 2025 season and motivated players to strive for greatness on and off the field.

Joey Potts: Recognized for exceptional service to Alma Middle School. His positivity, dedication, and willingness to help in every situation exemplify what it means to be an outstanding coach and faculty member.

Tabor Shores, Chasta Parker, Lara Lewis, and Savannah Thacker: Honored for outstanding academic excellence, each achieving a class average of 90% or higher on the ATLAS Literacy Screener. Their commitment to learning and dedication to their students’ success are truly commendable.

Districtwide Recognition: The board also celebrated Alma Middle School, Alma Primary School, and the Alma School District for being recognized in this year’s Best of the River Valley awards — a reflection of the strong community support and the district’s continued commitment to excellence.
