Alma School District - School Choice Information
Welcome! If your family lives outside the Alma School District and you’d like your child to attend one of our schools, you’re in the right place. Below is everything you need to know about applying through the Arkansas Public School Choice program.
What is School Choice?
The Arkansas Public School Choice Act (Arkansas Statute 6-18-206) allows students who do not live in the Alma School District to apply to attend our schools on a transfer basis. This means eligible students from neighboring districts can enroll in our schools through a formal application process.
Important Things to Know
Transportation: Families are typically responsible for their child’s transportation to and from school.
Space Availability: Admission may depend on available space in the requested grade level or school.
Sibling Consideration: If one child is already enrolled through School Choice, preference may be given to siblings (where allowed by law/policy).
