Michael Taylor lined a 0-2 single to left field to score Carson Curd with the winning run in Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Mountain Home, giving the Airedales their first-ever season sweep of the Bombers.

Alma (14-12, 6-6) had lost nine straight to the Bombers, including the previous eight conference games since 2021. Having lost four one-run decisions to Mountain Home, the Airedales turned the tables, scoring two come-from-behind wins in two days.

On Monday, Alma rallied to beat the Bombers, 5-3, thanks to Taylor’s go-ahead RBI in the sixth.

A day later, Alma trailed 2-0 before tying the game on Sheppard Osborn’s two-out RBI double.

Carson Curd led off the seventh with a double to left. After Mountain Home coach Greg Crow intentionally walked the next two hitters, Camden Curd, and Brayden Driscoll, to set a force at any base, Taylor followed with his walk-off single.

The victory clinches Alma’s first non-losing season since 2010. The 14 victories are the most since 2008.

Driscoll picked up the win with 2 ⅓ innings of stellar relief.
