Michael Taylor raised his average to .377 with a trio of hits, including a key RBI single, to pace the Airedales to a 12-3 win over the Harrison Goblins in the team’s 2025 home finale on Monday.

With the victory, Alma improved to 15-12, clinching its first winning season since 2009 and its most wins since 2008.

The 12 runs are the most for the Airedales against Harrison since Kelton Inge and Matt Vinson led the team to a 12-3 win over the Goblins on April 8, 2008.

In Monday’s win, right-hander Piercen Howell labored through 4 ⅔ innings for the victory, with Braden Green working the final 2 ⅓ innings to preserve the win.

Alma (15-12, 7-6) will end the season at Harrison.

The Goblins (18-8, 8-5) took a 1-0 lead after one inning before Carson Curd’s bases-loaded walk tied the game at 1-1 in the second. Alma took the lead 3-1 when Camden Curd hit into a fielder’s choice. An errant throw to first base allowed courtesy runner Brycen Lester to race home with the third run.

Alma extended the lead by scoring twice in the third and three more in the fourth inning. Taylor and Brayden Driscoll each scored three times. Camden Curd drove in one run, with Taylor, Driscoll, Easton Daily, Cash Wilson, and Sheppard Osborn driving in runs.

Alma won the junior varsity game as well on Monday, with Carson Hamilton earning the victory. Landon Taylor and Logan Villerreal also tossed scoreless innings.

Sammy Moore led the charge with a pair of hits and runs scored.
