Alma offensive line coach Ryan Pointer sees a little bit of himself in Easton Daily: his demeanor, his approach to athletics.

“Easton and I are actually a lot alike,” Pointer said. “We mesh really well together. He does remind me of myself when I was playing, just with his quiet and calm manner. The way he carries himself is definitely a good thing.”

Incoming Arkansas Tech football coach Roy Thompson jumped on Daily last baseball season. By the start of the 2025 football season, Thompson had all but convinced Alma’s all-state left tackle to join his football team.

On Wednesday, the former Alma all-state tackle signed a letter of intent with the Wonder Boys.

"It's a burden lifted off of you, knowing you know where you're going (to college)," Daily said. "It feels good."

Daily, who carries a 4.3 GPA, said he briefly considered walking on to a Division I program, like his older brother Jackson (Missouri) did two years ago. In the end, he opted to become a Wonder Boy.

"We considered it, but Tech was the best option," he said. "It'll be good."

As for academics, Daily pointed out that following simple procedures is the only way to go.

“It’s just persistence; keeping up with your work,” he said. “As long as you turn it in, you get the most points. That’s really what it’s about.”

Daily said he hopes to earn a degree in engineering one day.

But for now, Daily will continue to chase his dream on the gridiron. At Alma, Daily started all 31 games he participated in. He achieved 56 pancake blocks with no sacks allowed in 2025. He had similar numbers (53 pancakes and no sacks allowed) in 2024.

"This shows you just how good a guy he is," said Alma's offensive line coach Ryan Pointer. "Being able to play to the next level, and see how committed he is get on the field, that means a lot to have a guy like that on your team."

In addition, Daily is a three-year starter for the Airedales' baseball team. He hit .307 with 17 doubles while earning all-conference honors last season.
