Last week, the DESE Circuit Team recognized Alma School District’s own Lisa Manes Mankins as Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) of the Month. The team visited Alma Primary School to surprise Lisa with this well-deserved honor.
Lisa serves students in grades K–2 and consistently goes above and beyond to support their communication needs. She actively seeks out the latest techniques and strategies to ensure her students receive the highest level of support. Lisa maintains high expectations for all learners, grounded in her belief that every student can make meaningful progress and achieve success.
In addition to her dedication to students, Lisa is a valued and humble team member. She is quick to recognize the contributions of others and understands the importance of collaboration in supporting student achievement.
Lisa’s commitment extends across all the students she serves, and her impact is felt throughout Alma Primary School. We are proud to have her as part of the Alma School District team and grateful for the difference she makes each day.
