This summer, Alma High School teacher Stephanie Hall had the opportunity to serve as an AP Reader for the College Board, helping score AP Psychology exams alongside educators from across the country.
As an AP Reader, Hall evaluated hundreds of student responses, contributing to a rigorous scoring process that helps ensure AP exams are graded fairly and consistently nationwide. The experience also provided valuable insight into student learning, highlighting common strengths as well as areas where students often face challenges.
Joining Hall during the experience was her daughter, Kinsely, who teaches in a neighboring school district. Together, they participated in this unique professional learning opportunity while collaborating with educators from across the United States.
Serving as an AP Reader allows teachers to deepen their understanding of College Board expectations and scoring standards. Hall will bring that knowledge back to her classroom, helping better prepare Alma High School students for success in AP Psychology and future college-level coursework.
Alma School District is proud of Mrs. Hall's commitment to continuous professional growth and the positive impact her experience will have on students for years to come.
