📚 Literacy in Action!

Kindergarten is buzzing with learning during literacy small groups in Mrs. Thomas’s and Mrs. Banks’s classrooms! Instruction is tailored to each student, keeping it engaging and fun. It’s wonderful to see our Airedales building reading skills and confidence every day.

Fuel up for a good cause! Join the Alma School District Child Nutrition Department for a Pancake Breakfast for Meal Debt on April 11, 2026, from 7-10 AM. March is National Athletic Training Month!

We’re celebrating our amazing Ms. Patti Webb, the heart and hero behind keeping our Airedales safe, healthy, and ready to compete! From preventing injuries to helping our athletes recover and perform their best, Ms. Webb goes above and beyond every single day.

We’re wrapping up Read Across America Week - and what a week it has been! A huge thank you to everyone in our community and across the district who dedicated their time and energy to celebrating the joy and importance of reading. Your efforts make a difference! 📚🎉

Alma Intermediate School is celebrating Read Across America Week with some very special guests! 📚✨

In Ms. Hall’s class, Mr. Bullard, Alma Primary Principal, read Cat in the Hat. Mrs. Taylor Skolarski (Ozark Mercy Hospital) read Fox in Socks, and Mrs. Vee Webb-DeLesline (Cass Job Corps) read The Recess Queen - both also Franklin County Fair Queens, with Vee holding a F.A.C.S. Queen title! Dr. Duffie stopped by, too, reading Wacky Wednesday.

Over in Mrs. Broyles and Mrs. Boster’s classes, Coach Law read Tacky - her favorite because it’s all about a cheer competition - and even showed the class the cheer!

We love seeing our community come together to celebrate reading!

SLIME TIME took over Alma Primary School on Friday!

This annual favorite brought lots of excitement (and a little extra noise!) to the halls as students cheered on the Slime a Teacher event. Even better - every dollar raised goes directly toward new PE equipment for our APS students.

Fun, laughter, and a great cause… that’s a win-win for our Airedales! 💚

Friday night’s final home basketball game was one to remember! Alma High celebrated our seniors on Senior Night, Alma Cheer welcomed Pre-K–2 students for the Alma Primary Spirit Clinic, and 3rd-grade champs joined the court at halftime for some fun. Alma High School Educators Rising students attended the Arkansas State Conference at ASU–Beebe on February 19, competing in multiple categories and participating in leadership sessions, Power Labs, and service projects.

We are proud of all students for their professionalism, creativity, and outstanding representation of Alma High School!

The Alma Primary School Pre-K classes had a special visitor this morning! Ms. Megan from Urrutia Family Dental visited as part of a special learning experience connected to their Health & Safety and Community Helpers units, teaching students about dental health and how to keep the “sugar bugs” away. Each student also received a brand new toothbrush to take home. Thank you for making learning fun and helping our students build healthy habits! 🦷✨

Alma Intermediate recently celebrated Root Rally Day, a 45-minute gathering filled with engaging, character-building activities led by the House Champions.

This event is part of the House System, a schoolwide initiative designed to strengthen community, encourage positive behavior, and celebrate character. Students and staff are divided into four “houses,” each representing unique values and traits:

💚 Oak House (Green): Strength & Wisdom

💜 Willow House (Purple): Empathy & Adaptability

💙 Cypress House (Sky Blue): Perseverance & Hope

💛 Dogwood House (Light Yellow): Creativity & Joy

Through the House System, Alma Intermediate students continue to build community, teamwork, and positive character - one rally at a time.

In the latest episode of Hey! What’s Your Deal?, Mr. B sits down with Maggie Inge to talk about her passion for Taekwondo. Maggie shares the hard work and dedication it took to earn her black belt and encourages girls to explore activities that may not always seem “typical.”

She also discusses how she uses a Bullet Journal and how the Leader in Me program has supported her in developing leadership skills and building positive habits.

Big news from Alma Middle School!

Mrs. Bocksnick has been named the 2025–2026 NFHS Outstanding Theatre Educator for Section 6! This award recognizes her dedication, leadership, and impact on our theatre students.

Even more exciting - she’s now in the running for the national NFHS Outstanding Theatre Educator Award!

Alma NJROTC has been staying busy!

This past weekend, our cadets competed at the North Side High School Grizzly Meet ’26 (Mega Meet), representing Alma with pride and professionalism. We are proud of each cadet who stepped up to compete.

The team also traveled to Mountain Home for an Orienteering Meet, continuing to build leadership skills, teamwork, and resilience through competition.

Great work, Cadets.
