Historic win for Airedales

Sophomore Hamir Thibodeaux added to his monster season on Wednesday with his 19th career goal as the Airedales shut out Harrison, 3-0, to earn the school’s first-ever season sweep of a 5A-West opponent.

Alma blanked the Goblins last month in Alma, 1-0.

In addition to Thibodeaux, Lukas Wald and Mason Mahar added goals for the winners (5-4, 4-3). The win keeps the Airedales in the playoff mix.

Isaac Wald added a pair of assists.

The junior varsity boys team finished in a 1-1 tie. Freshman Joshua Osborn had Alma’s lone goal.

The Lady Airedales dropped to 2-6 in conference play and 4-6 overall with a 2-0 loss to Harrison.
