At the end-of-year convocation, Alma School District had the opportunity to celebrate many outstanding accomplishments and dedicated staff members.
Employees were recognized for milestone years of service, including 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and even 35 years of commitment to Alma Schools. Retirees were also honored for their years of dedication to education. This year’s 15 retirees represented an incredible combined total of 394 years of service throughout their careers.
Classified Employee of the Year selections from across the district were recognized, with the District Classified Employee of the Year award presented to Jill Boyd of Alma Middle School. Teacher of the Year honorees were also celebrated, and the District Teacher of the Year award was presented to Keith Reeves, also of Alma Middle School.
Throughout the program, staff members Tiffany Gregory, Paige Clark, Kacie Ramsey, and Garrison Jensen shared meaningful and inspiring remarks. Chuck King also spoke on behalf of the Alma Education and Arts Foundation. Jason Rutherford, Transportation Director, addressed those in attendance as well. School Board President Dustin Hughes shared remarks, along with Dr. Duffie and Superintendent-Elect Kevin Hesslen.
The event also featured entertainment from Julianna Tufts, Alma High School Choir Director, whose performance brought energy and excitement to the celebration.
