The past few days have been fast-paced, but it has been exciting to welcome our staff back to campus and see the energy building for another great school year!
3rd Annual GFESC Back to School Kickoff
Our staff recently attended the 3rd Annual GFESC Back to School Kickoff, sponsored by the GFESC - Guy Fenter Education Service Cooperative. Nearly 900 teachers, administrators, and staff members from nine districts gathered for a morning of connection, collaboration, and encouragement.

Teacher Appreciation Breakfast
Staff continued the week with the annual Teacher Appreciation Breakfast, sponsored by the River Valley Ministerial Fellowship. We appreciate Mike McSpadden for sharing an encouraging message and everyone who helped make this special event possible.
Before hearing from district leadership, Citizens Bank & Trust Co. Van Buren surprised several staff members with envelopes of money as a special thank you. We are grateful for Citizens Bank’s continued support of our schools and staff.
Looking Ahead to a Great Year
Staff then heard from Superintendent Kevin Hesslen, along with Mr. Kirkendoll and Dr. Reeves, as they shared excitement, encouragement, and a vision for the year ahead.
We also appreciate First Baptist Alma for showing their support by providing treats for our staff.
