Alma Primary School got in on the celebration a couple of days early, and it was such a fun time! Four of our students were celebrated along with their families, and several classrooms joined in to make it even more special.
Students “rocked their socks” by wearing bright, mismatched, and fun socks to represent the uniqueness of the extra 21st chromosome - and there were some great ones! 🧦
Members of the Airedale boys' basketball team also stopped by to help with activities and celebrate with students, which made the morning even more exciting.
Big thank you to Mrs. Corder for organizing everything and to all the staff who helped make it such a special event!
Students rotated through fun indoor and outdoor stations, showing off their skills, teamwork, and competitive spirit. Huge shoutout to Coach Jones for planning an awesome event, and to the Alma High School NJROTC students for helping everything run smoothly!
It was a high-energy day filled with smiles, teamwork, and lots of fun from start to finish!
Our 5th grade students recently took part in an Emergency Management presentation led by Brandon Djordjevic, Deputy Director at the Crawford County Department of Emergency Management. Students gained valuable knowledge about staying safe and prepared in a variety of situations.
From understanding emergency plans to learning how to respond calmly and confidently, these students are building skills that truly make a difference.
Thank you, Mr. Djordjevic, for investing in our students!

Staying informed and prepared helps keep everyone safe.

Congratulations to our outstanding honorees:
• Alma High School: Michele Ikenberry
• Alma Middle School: Keith Reeves
• Alma Intermediate School: Jennifer Anderson
• Alma Primary School: Tiffany Gregory
Each of these educators represents the dedication and care that can be found in classrooms across the district, and we are proud to celebrate the difference they make for Alma students.
In addition, Alma Middle School was recognized for its recent redesignation as an Arkansas Diamond School to Watch. This honor highlights the school’s strong commitment to academic achievement, student growth, and creating a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Acting as delegates for Morocco and Saudi Arabia, students gained firsthand experience in diplomacy, public speaking, and the politics and history of the Arab world.
Morgan English and Heather Mitchell earned Honorable Mention for their outstanding representation of Morocco on the Special Council on Arab Culture and Heritage.
Congratulations to all students for their dedication and participation!

Learning looks a little different when students are deeply engaged in what they read! In Mrs. Payne’s 9th-grade class and Mrs. Van Devender’s 10th-grade class, students are connecting with their books in meaningful and engaging ways.
From thoughtful Socratic Seminars to outdoor book clubs, students are sharing ideas, asking questions, and building a deeper understanding of the texts they read. These experiences encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and a love for reading - while giving students a voice in the conversation.
It’s inspiring to see literacy come to life in such creative ways!

Kindergarten is buzzing with learning during literacy small groups in Mrs. Thomas’s and Mrs. Banks’s classrooms! Instruction is tailored to each student, keeping it engaging and fun. It’s wonderful to see our Airedales building reading skills and confidence every day.
A big thank you to these teachers for their dedication to student success! 💛

We’re celebrating our amazing Ms. Patti Webb, the heart and hero behind keeping our Airedales safe, healthy, and ready to compete! From preventing injuries to helping our athletes recover and perform their best, Ms. Webb goes above and beyond every single day.
Thank you, Ms. Webb, for all you do for our students and our community!

In Ms. Hall’s class, Mr. Bullard, Alma Primary Principal, read Cat in the Hat. Mrs. Taylor Skolarski (Ozark Mercy Hospital) read Fox in Socks, and Mrs. Vee Webb-DeLesline (Cass Job Corps) read The Recess Queen - both also Franklin County Fair Queens, with Vee holding a F.A.C.S. Queen title! Dr. Duffie stopped by, too, reading Wacky Wednesday.
Over in Mrs. Broyles and Mrs. Boster’s classes, Coach Law read Tacky - her favorite because it’s all about a cheer competition - and even showed the class the cheer!
We love seeing our community come together to celebrate reading!
