Draft Day Workshop for Seniors Hosted by Mrs. Ikenberry, Mrs. King and Mrs. Johnson
Today, Mrs. Ikenberry, Mrs. King, and Mrs. Johnson hosted a Draft Day Workshop for participating seniors. Anita Brackin, Vice President of Workforce Development for the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Jeff Adams, Assistant Director of Career Services at UAFS, were the two guest speakers. During the workshop, they provided valuable tips and advice on how to prepare for the upcoming interviews and fine-tune their resumes. Additionally, they shared some insights regarding the participating companies, their prior accomplishments, and their expectations this year. Alma High School will host another workshop next week, featuring several companies that will assist in mock interviews.

Alma Cheer Brings Home 5A-6A State Runner Up Title and Advances to National Championship
We are thrilled to announce that Alma Cheer took home the State Runner Up title in the 5A-6A game day division over the break. Congratulations are in order! Next month, they will represent Alma at the National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, FL. Good luck!

Alma High School Joins Be Pro Be Proud at Draft Day 2024
We are thrilled to announce that Alma High School is participating in and supporting Draft Day 2024 with Be Pro Be Proud. The event will be held on March 5th-6th, 2024, at the PEAK Innovation Center. Register now until December 8th if you're a senior interested in attending!
Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Ikenberry, and Mrs. King are getting registered seniors ready for the event with workshops on resume writing and interviews, from now until March.

Mrs. Tyler's Survey of Business class has been focusing on digital literacy and its importance in modern-day workplaces. As a result, the class has been working towards earning digital literacy certifications. The recipients of the certification have demonstrated their proficiency in digital skills such as cybersecurity, basic computer operations, and online communication. This certification will undoubtedly enhance their resumes and increase their employability in the digital age. Mrs. Tyler is proud of her class and hopes that they continue to develop their digital skills throughout their academic and professional careers.
AHS Sends Delegates to 59th Annual Model United Nations Conference
On November 17-18th, sixteen students from AHS attended the annual AMUN conference in Conway. The conference offers students a unique opportunity to role-play as representatives of various countries in the decision-making bodies of the United Nations. This year, students represented Malta, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. AHS junior, Landen Coursey, was awarded Honorable Mention for Best Delegate in the Security Council.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to our fantastic educators and school leaders who help our students achieve great things. We are equally grateful for the amazing support we have received from our community this year.
